Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: Jan. 22

Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's honorees from Heritage High School:

Junior goalkeeper Saul Botello has been honored from the boys soccer team. "He is my goalkeeper and captain. He is always seeking self improvement and plays with all his heart every game," said coach Timothy Poseley.

Sierra Roark is helping the Patriots build a tradition in a relatively new sport at the school, girls water polo.

These players will be eligible for the Athlete of the Week award.
