Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: Jan. 12

Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's honorees from Heritage High School:

Angel Garcia, senior forward and midfielder for the boys soccer team, scored two goals in the Patriots' league opener, a 3-1 victory over Lakeside Jan. 5.

Monica Cisneros of the girls soccer team has scored the last three goals for the Patriots. Brittni Heath has played a key role for the girls water polo team.

In wrestling, Rocky Tremblay and Madelyn Sevilla have turned in outstanding performances for their teams heading into the heart of the wrestling season.

These players are eligible for the Athlete of the Month award.
