Two dead, five injured in accident on Domenigoni Parkway

Two people died and five others were injured in a four-vehicle traffic accident Friday morning at Domenigoni Parkway and Winchester Road.

The accident was reported at 9:51 a.m. Three people were trapped in vehicles and had to be extricated by first responders, according to a news release from the Riverside County Fire Department. The incident commander declared it a mass casualty and five ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

Two people were declared dead at the scene. Four victims were transported with either minor or moderate injuries. Emergency resources will remain on the scene until at least noon.
