Paul Snyder has had physical and mental health issues since heart surgery a year ago, his brother-in-law said. |
A Menifee man missing for nine days has battled depression and is on six different medications since having triple bypass surgery a year ago, a relative said today.
Paul Snyder "hasn't been the same person" since the surgery, his brother-in-law, Todd Huth, told Menifee 24/7. Described as "rock solid, a hard worker" as an excavator, Snyder hasn't been cleared to work because of nerve damage resulting from the surgery, Huth said.
"It's obvious why he's depressed," Huth said. "He hasn't been able to work. When you're an excavator, you need use of both feet and hands. He's had some issues and is on all kinds of meds. He's not right in the head right now."
Family members are organizing a citywide search for Snyder, 46. Volunteers are asked to meet at 7 a.m. Saturday at Impact Church, 29697 New Hub Drive in Menifee. Huth said the plan is to divide the city into sections on a grid map and search throughout the city.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department issued a missing person's bulletin about Snyder on Thursday. He is described as suffering from congestive heart failure, anxiety and manic depression. He is without his medication.
Huth said it is believed Snyder rode his black and silver GT mountain bike to the CVS pharmacy at Newport Road and Bradley Road sometime Thursday. He hasn't been seen since. Police have pinged his cell phone three times in the last week -- at a point on Evans Road, near Lyle Marsh Park on Bradley Road and on New Harmony Court, just west of Menifee Road and north of Newport Road in the Menifee Lakes community.
"That's kind of the triangle we're focusing on," Huth said.
