One person dead, two injured in accident on Hwy 74

One person died and two others received minor injuries Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle traffic accident on Highway 74 and Leon Road, authorities said.

The accident was reported at 2:03 p.m. in the community of Homeland, according to a news release from the Riverside County Fire Department. One person died at the scene and two others were transported to a hospital.
