Herbert presented Distinguished Citizen Award

Firefighter Scott Herbert was presented with the 2016 Distinguished Citizen Award by the 3 Peaks District of the Boy Scouts of America at a ceremony Thursday at Menifee Fire Station 76.

Herbert started working as an advisor to engineer Dan Harris with the Station 76 Fire Explorers and took over the program in 2004. He was honored for his countless hours of service to the Menifee Explorer program.

Herbert was also honored by the City of Menifee, Riverside County Supervisor Marion Ashley, Senator Mike Morrell and Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez.
