There's nothing like a good old ice cream cone

Who remembers when Thrifty ice cream cost a nickel a scoop? Well, those days are long gone, but Menifee residents on the east side of town can now head over to the new Rite Aid at Newport Road and Menifee Road for a refreshing ice cream cone.

Thanks to Mar Guanga for sending us this shot of her children enjoying some ice cream at Rite Aid's Grand Opening on Thursday. Mar is now eligible for the Photo of the Month award in our "Menifee in Pictures" contest.
