Mt. San Jacinto College’s Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society and the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force will host an event titled “Human Trafficking: Myth vs. Reality” on Thursday from 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. in Room 407 of the Mt. San Jacinto Menifee Valley Campus, 28237 La Piedra Rd.
According to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center website, there have been 2,166 calls made to the NHTRC regarding possible human trafficking cases in Southern California and a total of 682 confirmed cases this year.
The Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force will be on campus to discuss what human trafficking is as well as share the myths and realities of the issue.
This event is free and open to the public.
