Menifee HallowFest: Lots more than bounce houses

OK, so we've told you about the great lineup of food trucks, the many categories of costume contests and headliner band Eclipse we have lined up for the Menifee 24/7 "Truck or Treat" HallowFest, presented by RE/MAX Diamond. But don't these festivals usually have a couple bounce houses for the kids?

Funny you should ask.

When you bring the kids out to our Halloween festival Oct. 22 (1-9 p.m.) at Wheatfield Park, you will see lots more than a couple bounce houses. In fact, we'll have a variety of inflatables and other kids' games provided by not one, not two, but three different companies.

Yes, there will be the traditional inflatable bounce houses with slides and obstacles, but that's not all. The toddler play area in the Kids Zone will feature a "Mickey's playground" interactive structure for the little ones. There will be other "bouncy" adventures for the kids as well.

In our Teen Zone, there will be more fun for the older kids, including an inflatable "boxing ring", a velcro wall and a dunk tank. Are you ready to send some of Menifee's well-known figures into the water? Here's your chance. There will also be a 5-in-1 sports structure where teens can shoot baskets, throw a baseball and more.

All of this is free of charge. Rather than a wristband, kids will be given a punch card good for a set number of visits to each structure. Additional punch cards may be purchased for a nominal price.
