Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: Oct. 2

Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select athletes based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Heritage High Athletes of the Week:

Javier Luna rushed for 200 yards and excelled at linebacker and kicker for the football team in its 49-14 victory over Corona on Sept. 23. The Patriots are 5-0.

No. 1 singles player Fenicia Perez is having another great season for the girls tennis team. She was a Sunbelt League champion in doubles last year. She has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of several clubs on campus.

CJ Zulueta is one of the top players on the girls golf team.
