Freeway Lanes, Newport Bridge Closed for Nighttime Work

All northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 215 will be shut down at the Newport Road bridge and traffic across the bridge will also be closed during specific hours of the next five nights, the City of Menifee announced.

Details are in the graphic above. Freeway traffic will be diverted off the freeway at Newport Road and back onto the freeway on the other side of the bridge while construction crews install falsework for the bridge expansion. This will take place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. southbound and 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. northbound Monday through Friday.

The Newport Road bridge will closed to traffic from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Nighttime work will continue the following week with intermittent lane closures.
