Sheriff's deputies on Friday arrested a Wildomar man suspected in the theft of a truck in Menifee the day before, authorities said today.
David Anthony Rivas, 37, was arrested at a residence in the 33000 block of Furrow Court in Wildomar, according to a news release. As the result of an investigation, Rivas was identified as a suspect and a search of the residence revealed stereo equipment belonging to a 1999 Ford F350 truck stolen on Thursday from a residence in the 27000 block of Tosa Lane, south of La Piedra Road and east of Bradley Road in Menifee.
Further investigation led deputies to locate the stolen truck in a parking lot in the 26000 block of Ynez Road in Temecula. The truck was returned to the owner. Rivas was booked at the Southwest Detention Center for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property. He is being held without bail.
