Just One Arrest Results From Menifee DUI Patrol

The latest DUI saturation patrol conducted by the Menifee Police Department on Friday resulted in 11 vehicle stops but only one arrest.

Officers patrolled the city during the hours of 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. with a special emphasis on drivers who might be under the influence. Such patrols have resulted in a decreased number of DUI offenses, including this one, in which eight citations were issued for various offenses but only one driver was arrested for alcohol impairment.

Special funding from the state allows the department to put extra officers on duty for these patrols.
