Series of Fires in Homeland Under Investigation

Investigators are working to determine the cause of several fires in the early morning hours of May 10 in the unincorporated area of Homeland, according to Riverside County Fire Department officials.

The fires were reported between 1:09 a.m. and 8:26 a.m. at several locations in the vicinity of Highway 74 and Leon Road. These included two structure fires, four outbuilding (shed) fires and one vegetation fire. All fires were quickly contained or were already out when firefighters responded.
