The Paloma Valley High School girls track team won the team title at the Sunbelt League track finals Thursday, winning 10 of the 15 events.
Damatria Willingham (left) won league championships in the 100 meters (12.35) and 200 (25.85) and was also part of wins by the 400 and 1,600 relay teams. Freshman Alyssa Moore won the 400 meters and another freshman, Maile Jones, won the 800.
Sofia Cadenhead (below right) won the 1,600 (5:43.46) and 3,200 meters (12.31.10). Mikey Kambeitz took second in the 1,600 and Lauren Deloss placed third in the 3,200. Jemena Nesbitt won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.78.
Winter Carreno took first place in the high jump (5-2) and placed third in the long jump (15-11). The Wildcats team of Blakelyn Hendricks, Damatria Willingham, Brandy Allah and Lindy Baca won the 400-meter relay, while the 1,600 relay team of Sophie Nicotero, Maile Jones, Damatria Willingham and Alyssa Moore (below) also placed first.
Also qualifying for the CIF prelims next weekend were Jaleela Caulk, third place in the shot put, and Alyssa Morton, third place in the discus.
