DA Warns Residents to Check for Voter Fraud

Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin has appointed an investigator to look into allegations of voter fraud following complaints by many Republican voters that their voter registration information has been changed without their knowledge.

Scott Mann, mayor of Menifee and Riverside County GOP chairman, said voters should check their registration information and report any problems to Assistant Chief Investigator Mike Hoy at WHoy@rivcoda.org. Mann said he has received several complaints from voters around the county that their registration information had been tampered with. He said this includes a lifelong Republican and elected official who had their voter registration changed from Republican to Democrat last month.

In other cases, voters have discovered that their address, ethnicity, and birth date were changed.

Anyone with concerns should address this immediately. The last day to register to vote is May 23, and information must be correct by then.
