School life in Menifee in the 1960s will be the theme of the Menifee Valley Historical Association meeting Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Haun Rural Center, 31850 Haun Road.
Stephen Martin and Mary Bouris Carey will be the featured speakers and will talk about their life as students at Menifee Elementary School, where Harm Duitscher was a teacher and principal in the 1960s. Today that school on Garbani Road is closed, but two classrooms there are used by the Historical Association as a museum.
The Association invites other students from that time period to come and share their stories as well. For more information on the Menifee Valley Historical Association, visit the website here.
