Deaf View Image Arts Event Set for March 19

The American Sign Language Department at Mt. San Jacinto College will host an event to showcase De'VIA (Deaf View Image Arts) March 19 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Menifee Valley campus.

The "Sip, Sign and Painting Party" will feature Nancy Rourke, who will describe De'VIA and the history of deaf arts. De'VIA gives visual testimony to the discrimination deaf people experience. Rourke will share her story as a deaf artist and provide a painting lesson to guests.
