Motorist Safety Operation Results in 40 Citations

The latest motorist safety enforcement operation conducted by the Menifee Police Department resulted in 40 drivers being cited for unsafe driving actions, according to a news release.

On Thursday, officers patrolled areas in the city where crashes frequently occur. They were specifically looking for motorists committing unsafe driving actions that lead to crashes. One driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

The program is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
