Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: Feb. 24

Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select athletes based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Heritage High School Athletes of the Week:

Sophomore guard Francis Dogani was one of the top players for the boys basketball team. The Patriots didn't make the playoffs this season, but Dogani showed the kind of leadership that will mean big things for the team in the future.

David Mendoza had a similar impact on the boys soccer team, providing both athletic ability and leadership for the Patriots, whose season recently concluded.

Jacob Salzer fought to the round of 12 at the CIF-SS Coastal Division finals in wrestling.
