Tickets are available now for the eighth annual Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation Gala, scheduled for Feb. 6 in Temecula.
The gala raises money for student scholarships and other endeavors that benefit students at MSJC. It is open to the public. Sponsorship packets for the event are also available.
The theme of this year's event is "MSJC ... Building a Sustainable Future." It will feature a Recycled Art & Fashion Show with designs by students. A silent auction, meal and live music by the band Kicks will be part of the program.
Alumni & Friends awards will also be presented to the following:
Outstanding Staff Member -- Becky Elam, vice president of business services
Outstanding Faculty Member -- Jeremy Brown, interim dean of instruction, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Menifee Valley campus
Outstanding Community Members -- Hemet/San Jacinto Chamber of Commerce
Outstanding Alumni & Friend -- John and Yvonne Branchflower, longtime MSJC Foundation supporters and contributors
The gala will begin at 6 p.m. at the Pechanga Resort and Casino. Dress is cocktail attire with a flourish of green.
