The Perris man arrested following the robbery of a coin shop in Menifee entered a plea of not guilty Monday to charges of second degree robbery and assault.

Joshua Nash, 23, is scheduled for a felony settlement conference on Jan. 7, said John Hall of the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

Nash was apprehended by Sheriff's deputies Dec. 23 a short distance from Ed's Coins in the 28000 block of Bradley Road in the Sun City community of Menifee.

An employee at the coin store told Menifee 24/7 she fired a gun at the tires of the parked car before it took off and the suspect was captured soon thereafter. No one was injured.
