Firefighter Receives Minor Injuries in Menifee House Fire

A firefighter received minor injuries Saturday night during a house fire that spread to the garage of a second house in the Tierra Shores community of Menifee.

The Riverside County Fire Department responded at 8:41 p.m. to the 29000 block of Bay View Way, according to a news release. The fire started in a garage and did not spread to the rest of house, but it did spread to the garage of a second residence.

Both fires were contained by 9:30 p.m.

The injured firefighter was transported to a hospital with minor injuries and heat-related illness. No other injuries were reported.
