Virgil, Cagle Named Heritage High Athletes of Month

Senior quarterback Brett Virgil and volleyball setter Madison Cagle have been honored as Menifee 24/7 Athletes of the Month for October representing Heritage High School.

Virgil has been an effective leader for the Patriots, who are 10-0 this season and seeded No. 1 heading into Friday's CIF playoff opener against Hemet. He has passed for over 900 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. He has also run for 522 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Cagle has been an integral part of the volleyball team's success. With her leadership, the Patriots are 18-6-1 overall, having defeated Riverside Poly on Tuesday in the first round of the CIF playoffs. Heritage plays at St. Margaret's of San Juan Capistrano today.

Virgil and Cagle received a certificate of recognition and a $20 Visa gift card from Menifee 24/7.
