Heritage High Athletes of the Week: Nov. 12

Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select athletes based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Heritage High School Athletes of the Week:

Chris Briseno of the boys cross country team and Sara Pearson and Susan Peralta of the girls cross country team are headed to the CIF prelims this weekend. Pearson was a first-team all-league selection and Briseno is second-team all-league.

The football team is represented by defensive lineman Quentin Asberry and center Joseph Valdivia. Both have played key roles on the line as the Patriots posted a 10-0 regular-season record on the way to Friday's CIF playoff opener against Hemet.
