Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Paloma Valley High School. Here are the Paloma Valley High School honorees:
Sophomore quarterback Chance Nolan has passed for 1,145 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Paloma Valley football team, which is 4-2 overall and 1-0 in league play heading into Friday night's home game against Elsinore. Teammate Blake Bouman has six interceptions as a defensive back and has 84 receiving yards.
Brenna Sullivan lead the girls volleyball team with 14 kills in a recent match against Perris.
Cross country runner Tye Handal had solid performances in a recent Sunbelt League meet with a time of 15:57. He also ran 16:14 at the Sunny Hills Invitational and 17:02 at the So Cal Invitational in Oceanside.
Katie Whitford and her partner won five out of six doubles matches last week for the girls tennis team. According to coach David McCoy, "Katie is an excellent team captain and leader. She is what every senior should be. She will be a success in any endeavor she chooses in life because she has a persevering attitude."
These athletes will be eligible for selection as Paloma Valley High School's October Athletes of the Month. Anyone wishing to order a glossy print of this article with photo may do so by emailing menifee247info@gmail.com.
