Nolan Throws 5 TD Passes in Paloma Valley Victory

Sophomore quarterback Chance Nolan passed for 240 yards and 5 touchdowns Friday night to lead the Paloma Valley High School football team to a 55-3 victory over Lakeside in the teams' Sunbelt League opener.

Paloma Valley (1-0, 4-2) led 21-0 after the first quarter and 45-3 at halftime. Most of the second half was played with a running clock. Lakeside is 3-3 overall.

Nolan gave way to backup quarterback Lucas Opp in the second half as the Wildcats cruised to victory. Paloma Valley finished with 451 yards total offense to 110 for Lakeside.

Wide receiver Cameron Whatley caught 4 passes for 120 yards and 3 touchdowns. Corez English and Dayday Lewis had one TD catch each. Demarco Prewitt led Paloma rushers with 61 yards on 10 carries.
