Local School Accepting Donations for Fire Victims

Ethan A. Chase Middle School is accepting monetary and clothing donations for two students and others in a family that was displaced by a house fire in Menifee on Monday, according to friends and neighbors who are helping to organize the effort.

According to one source, the family is staying with neighbors after a fire engulfed about 50 percent of the single family residence in the 25900 block of Tradewinds Drive. Firefighters arrived about 4 p.m. to find flames and smoke coming from the house, according to a Cal Fire report.

No injuries were reported.
