Heritage, Paloma Valley Football Showdown Tonight

Bragging rights for the city of Menifee and the Sunbelt League will be on the line tonight when Heritage High School and Paloma Valley High meet in a 7 p.m. football game at Paloma Valley.

The "Menifee Bowl" will feature Heritage's Patriots (8-0, 3-0), who have never lost a game since joining the Sunbelt League; and Paloma Valley's Wildcats (6-2, 3-0), who are riding a four-game winning streak.

Heritage is led by quarterback Brett Virgil, who has passed for 793 yards and 13 touchdowns; running back Jalen Glover, who has rushed for 967 yards and 11 touchdowns; all-purpose back Aleva Hifo, who has caught 15 passes for 431 yards and a touchdown; and a dominating defense.

Paloma Valley is led by sophomore Chance Nolan, who has passed for 1,399 yards and 18 touchdowns; running backs Demarco Prewitt (92 carries, 621 yards, 6 touchdowns) and Khayrii Joyner (71 carries, 465 yards, 3 touchdowns); wide receiver Cameron Whatley (29 catches, 466 yards, 10 touchdowns); and a strong defensive unit.
