Heritage High Athletes of the Week: Sept. 22

Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Heritage High School Athletes of the Week:

Senior running back Cory Smith had two touchdowns in Heritage's 56-6 win over West Valley of Hemet last Friday. The Patriots are 4-0 heading into Friday's game vs. Etiwanda at Colony High School.

Thomas Malafavon is the top boys JV runner and Mayra Zambrano is the top girls JV runner for the Heritage cross country program.

Hannah Rivas has gotten off to a fast start for the girls tennis team.
