Donald and Barbara Ross of Menifee will celebrate 60 years of marriage on Sept. 10, 2015.
Don and Barbara were married in The United Methodist Church in Elwood, Indiana on Sept. 10, 1955. Don served in the U.S. Army Reserves, where he fought in the Korean War, after which he went on to be a teacher at Richmond High School in Richmond, Indiana. Don continued his education to become a contractor and built countless homes in Indiana. After moving to California in 1976, he became an instructor at The Youth Training Authority in Chino, retiring in 2001.
Barbara graduated from St Mary's College of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, earning her degree as a registered nurse. Barbara has worked in OB/GYN and private nursing and retired after 40 years of nursing in 2000 from the rehabilitation department at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona.
Don and Barbara have four children: Craig Ross, Todd Ross, Stacia Ross, Amy Frahn, and one son-in-law, Jason Frahn, all of Menifee. They are blessed to have five grandchildren: Arlena, Andrew, Ryan, Christian and Elizabeth; two great grandsons, Aiden and Leland; and one soon to be granddaughter–in–law, Kristy. They have two granddaughters, Trisha and Allison, who reside in Heaven.
Don and Barbara moved in 2001 to Menifee, where they have retired and enjoy attending all of the activities and sporting events their grandchildren partake in. They will celebrate their 60 years of marriage this weekend with family and close friends.
