Menifee Heritage Lake Lions Club Receives Charter

Officers were installed and a charter presented Saturday night to officially recognize the Menifee Heritage Lake Lions Club as the newest club in the international service organization.

Before a large group of Lions Club members, regional Lions officers and guests at Merna's Cafe, Geoff Green was installed as the club's first president. Other installed officers were Guillermo Felix, vice president; Jen David, secretary; Peggy Nightengale, treasurer; and Steve Beaty, tail twister.

Officers and other charter members of the club were recognized by Rob Manning, first vice district governor; and Mike Jones, second vice district governor. The club charter was presented by Jim Maitland, immediate past district governor. The club's sponsoring club is the Murrieta Breakfast Lions.

Lions Club International is a service organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 45,000 clubs throughout the world. The Menifee Heritage Lake Lions Club meets on the first and third Mondays of the month at 7 p.m. at Merna's Cafe.
