Menifee Crime Watch Has Openings for Volunteers

Menifee Crime Watch, a group of volunteers dedicated to public safety in the community, has positions open for drivers, observers and base operators.

Crime Watch volunteers help deter crime by patrolling throughout the city. The volunteers work in cooperation with the Sheriff's Department in an "observe and report only" capacity. They do not get involved in any confrontations but provide important support to police in reporting suspicious activity and with traffic control.

By supplementing the activities of the Sheriff's Department, Menifee Crime Watch enables the department to release professional personnel from duties not requiring specialized training. This increases the effectiveness of the Sheriff's Department and broadens the service to the community.
