Menifee Woman, Two Others Arrested in Mail Theft Case

A Menifee woman was among three people arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy in connection with mail theft in Temecula, police said today.

Officers from the Temecula Police Department responded at 9:30 a.m. Sunday to the report of mail theft in the area of Clubhouse Drive and Pechanga Parkway. The suspect was described as a white female adult driving a black sedan. Officers located the suspect vehicle at Temecula Parkway and Bedford Court in Temecula. A vehicle stop was conducted and three suspects were detained.

During the investigation, officers found a large amount of stolen U.S. mail and additional stolen property, which officers determined had been taken during a recent vehicle burglary in the 46000 block of Miner Trail in Temecula.

Those arrested and booked at the Southwest Detention Center were Lisa Whitaker, 28, of the Sun City community of Menifee; David Brown, 44, and Corey Richardson, 22, both from Mill Creek, North Carolina.
