Menifee Police DUI Patrol Results in 10 Arrests

One motorist was arrested for DUI and booked into jail and nine others were arrested and released with a promise to appear in court during a patrol conducted by the Menifee Police Department's DUI Enforcement Team Friday night.

During the patrol, which lasted from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. throughout the city, officers sought out alcohol and drug-impaired drivers. One person was arrested on suspicion of DUI-alcohol and was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta.

In addition, five drivers were arrested for outstanding warrants; three drivers were arrested, cited and released for driving while unlicensed; and one driver was arrested, cited and released for driving with a suspended license.

The patrol also resulted in the following:

-- 12 drivers were cited for unsafe driving violations
-- 15 drivers were given standardized field sobriety tests
-- 5 vehicles were towed
