Wallace Edgerton, a longtime politician in Southern California and Menifee's first mayor, was remembered by family members, friends, colleagues and Menifee residents Thursday night in a memorial service in the theater at Paloma Valley High School.

Edgerton, 81, died May 26 after a long battle with lung disease. He was still serving as a city councilman at the time. You can view his obituary here.
