Construction alert has been updated for the week of June 22-27:
Motorists traveling westbound on Newport Road on the bridge across Interstate 215 will once again find the right lane closed approaching Haun Road as crews move dirt and equipment during nighttime construction this week.
Crews are using an area behind the Rancon Building and Teas Roadhouse on Haun Road as a staging area for equipment and supplies. In addition to moving equipment, dirt will be hauled around the corner on Newport to and from the site of a looping freeway on-ramp that is being constructed. The lane closure will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday and 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Saturday.
In addition, pile driving operations under the bridge are scheduled to continue weekdays from 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. People in the area may experience increased noise and vibration during those times.
There will also be intermittent freeway lane and ramp closures closures in the late evening hours.

I know the city stated their reasons, but I really wish they would have built the Holland overpass or widened Scott Road before more Newport Road work. I have regretted buying east of the 215 freeway because of the traffic and I always tell friends to look west. At least I have great neighbors!
