Kay Ceniceros Center Grand Re-Opening on Friday

The public is invited to attend the grand re-opening of the Kay Ceniceros Center Friday at 5 p.m. Tours will be given to show residents improvements in the interior and exterior of the facility, which is now home to Arts Council Menifee and new City Community Services Department headquarters.

The City of Menifee took control of Kay Ceniceros Center from Riverside County last summer. Improvements began in May and were funded through the city's Community Development Block Grant programs. Improvements include restrooms compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act; hardwire Internet connections; and updated landscaping outside the center, located at 29995 Evans Road.

Effective July 1, the Community Services Department assumes management of city recreation programs, services and events. The department recently welcomed eight full-time staff members who will work from the new headquarters.
