Preliminary work continues on what will become a looping on-ramp to southbound Interstate 215 for motorists traveling west across the Newport Road Bridge. Later, a similar on-ramp loop will be constructed onto the northbound 215 for those traveling east on Newport. Through lanes on a reconstructed bridge will also be increased.
The $37 million project is expected to take 18 to 24 months to complete.
