Arco Station, ampm Store Now Open on Menifee Road

Residents wishing for a gas station and convenience store located inland from Interstate 215 on the east side of Menifee got their wish today with the opening of a new Arco service station and ampm store.

The business includes a car wash and is located on the northeast corner of Newport Road and Menifee Road. Although the grand opening won't take place for a few weeks, the gas station and store are now open 24 hours a day.

"It will probably take us three or four months to get everything stable," said Bill Ferrise, director of marketing and advertising for Arco. "We have all new employees and vendors. But we're open for business and with the traffic on that street, we expect to do very well."

At this point, the business is the anchor for a location promoted as Menifee Lakes Centre on signage at the corner of the busy intersection.
