Winchester Man Dies in Single-Car Accident

A Winchester man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover accident in that city Friday afternoon, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The victim was identified by the Coroner's Office as John Aker, 50. The accident occurred in front of a church at Winchester Road and Taylor Street about 4:15 p.m.

Aker was transported by ambulance to Menifee Valley Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
