Reward Offered for Return of Missing German Shepherd

A Menifee resident is asking for the public's help in finding her 5-month-old German Shepherd, which has been missing since April 13.

The dog, named Kaiser, apparently got out of the yard of a home in the Belcanto neighborhood, near Menifee Lake. He was wearing a black collar with a digital camouflage pattern. He is microchipped.

According to the dog's owner, she received a call the day after Kaiser's disappearance from a woman who claimed to have him and would turn him into a local shelter. The call was from a blocked number and no other information was given, she said. The dog has not been located at any animal shelter and no other calls have been received.

Callers responding to fliers posted locally reported seeing the dog across Newport Road by the golf course shortly after his disappearance.
