A public hearing will be held May 13 at 7 p.m. regarding an application to approve exterior elevations and signage for a Sonic drive-in restaurant planned for the upcoming Town Center Marketplace.
The hearing will take place during a meeting of the Menifee Planning Commission at Menifee City Hall, 29714 Haun Road.
The fast food site, including parking and surrounding landscaping, was approved previously under the general plot plan for the Town Center Marketplace, to be built on the southwest corner of Newport Road and Haun Road. The 14.4-acre retail development, to be located across the street from the existing Countryside Marketplace, will be adjacent to another bigger project -- the 172-acre Menifee Town Center.
According to the city's notice of public hearing, the sign plan for Sonic proposes a total of 11 wall-mounted signs and 19 free-standing signs which include directional signs and menu boards.
Any person wishing to comment on the proposed project may do so in writing between the date of this notice and the public hearing. Members of the public may also appear and be heard at the time of the meeting.

glad things are finally happening. what happened to the shopping center on the corner of Antelope and Newport? Instead of a gas station why not a Denny's restaurant, a trader Joe's, a mini mart and in the town center, an outback restaurant - suggestions
