Applications Accepted to Replace Planning Commissioner

Applications are being accepted for a Menifee Planning Commission seat that will be vacated by Greg Folsom, who has resigned effective May 13.

City Council member Matt Liesemeyer, who appointed Folsom to the commission in January, said Folsom informed city officials that week that he is in negotiations for a city manager position in northern California and will be relocating over the next few weeks.

Liesemeyer said applications of those who applied for the position in December have been retained for consideration once again. Anyone wishing to apply may do so at Menifee City Hall, 29714 Haun Road.

Folsom was appointed by Liesemeyer after he was elected to the City Council. Folsom replaced Mark Matelko, who had been appointed by previous council member Tom Fuhrman.
