Two men suspected of a pair of armed robberies in the Menifee area in recent weeks were arrested Feb. 27 after committing a similar crime in Pomona, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced today.
Isaac Juarez, 30, and Jason Overman, 23, both from Moreno Valley, were charged with multiple counts of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Both suspects are in the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
According to a news release, the first armed robbery occurred Jan. 23 at a business in the 3100 block of Case Road in Perris. The second armed robbery took place Feb. 2 in the 27900 block of Encanto Drive in Menifee. Sheriff's Department officials did not release the name of the businesses at the owners' request.
According to police, both robberies were committed by two Hispanic male adults wearing dark clothing, bandanas covering their faces and armed with semi-auto handguns. The suspects fled the locations in a dark blue two-door Honda Civic.
After the arrest of two suspects for a similar robbery in Pomona, it was determined that the suspects were the same ones involved in the previous two robberies.
