A member of the Paloma Valley High School girls basketball team is seeking the public's help in raising funds for a trip to Australia to compete in an all-star tournament this summer.

Junior forward Angelica Kilpatrick has been invited to represent California Girls Basketball on the Pacific Conference team that will compete in the Down Under Hoops Classic. The summer program will include competition in several sports. A certificate sent to Kilpatrick accorded her "Impact Athlete Honors" representing California.

Kilpatrick would fly to Australia for a nine-day stay to play against Australian teams. Cost of the trip is $4,500, which would cover transportation, uniform, meals and hotel accommodations.

The deadline to raise the money is June 15. Kilpatrick has set up a GoFundMe account at this website for any who wish to contribute.
