The Mt. San Jacinto College Psychology Club will sponsor a presentation by Jane Elliott titled "Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes: Combating Prejudice" on March 16 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in room 927 on the Menifee campus.
In 1968, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. was killed, elementary school teacher Jane Elliott divided her third grade class into blue-eyed students and brown-eyed students. Blue-eyed students, she said, were smarter, got extra recess time and extra snacks. The prejudice demonstrated that day is the basis for her presentation.
