Local residents showed their love for nature and the environment Saturday, March 21 by working with city officials to plant trees at local parks.

Groups worked together to plant trees provided by the City of Menifee at Lyle Marsh Park and E.L. Pete Peterson Park.

The event was scheduled to lead up to Spring Fest, a festival that will take place March 28 at La Ladera Park. A certified arborist will be on hand to provide advice, in addition to city staff members. The first 300 families will take home a free tree sapling to plant at home.
