Lively Named Paloma Valley High Athlete of Week

Boys volleyball standout Joey Lively has been selected as Menifee 24/7 Athlete of the Week representing Paloma Valley High School.

Lively has helped lead the team to a 6-0 record, including a win over Vista Murrieta on Tuesday. He is a steadying force from his defensive specialist position in the back row.

"Joey continues to be a strong defensive player for our team," said his coach, Katie Bradley. "He helped the team defeat both Yucaipa and San Jacinto last week."

Lively said he is optimistic about his team's chances of repeating as league champion. Last year, the Wildcats were undefeated in league play. He hopes to enter the police academy after graduation.
