Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: March 25

Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's Heritage High School Athletes of the Week:

Diamonique Brogan leaped 16-3 in the long jump in a recent meet for the girls track team and Jarrett Carter ran a 51.11 in the 400 meters for the boys track team. Cornelius Holifield has also excelled for the boys track team in recent weeks.

Freshman swimmer Katelyn Thomas posted automatic qualifying times for CIF postseason competition in the 100 backstroke and had an outstanding performance in the 100 butterfly as well.

Baseball player Austin Clifton is hitting .533 and leads the team with two doubles and two triples.

Sophomore pitcher and shortstop Rae Peters is hitting .387 and has three pitching victories for the softball team, which is 2-0 in Sunbelt League play.

Noah Marcinkowski has performed consistently for the boys volleyball team, which hosts Vista Murrieta on Thursday.
